TAG: How much does your face cost? $$$

Heya!

So I have seen this tag and always enjoy reading them and even though this was going around a while ago I decided that I still wanted to do it and just see how much I am putting onto my face everyday. So here it is and enjoy!

First I apply my moisturiser which at the moment is L'oreal Triple Active Day cream for dry and sensitive skin as all my travelling has made my skin really parched, I can honestly say this cream has helped my skin recover a little as I had really dry, red patches along the sides of my nose and forehead and this has managed to calm it down, although i feel that my skin still needs something. I am nearly out of this so if anyone has dry sensitive skin and has found the moisturiser that has worked for them please let me know! This was purchased overseas and will see if it is available here in Australia.
Cost $8.

Next I apply my Clinique Redness Solutions Daily Protective Base SPF 15, which if you have been reading my blog form the very beginning you will know that this has been one of my go to products.

Cost $35.

Then I apply my Aveeno Positively Radiant Tinted Moisturiser in fair to light. I will be reviewing this one for you guys so I wont go into too much detail.

Cost $14.

To get my eyes done I use Maybellines Colour Tattoo ($10) in On and On Bronze, lightly on the lids, and Maybellines Volume Express falsies flared mascara ($16) followed by lining my waterline with Maybellines Colossal Kajal ($8) eyeliner in Bllack/Noir.

Cost $34.

Under eye concealer for everyday use I use the Garnier Anti-Dark Circle Roll on in Light.

Cost $11.

I like to add some colour to my face with Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer.

Cost $20

Finally a wash of colour on my lips using Maybellines Color Whisper lip colour in Lust For Blush.

Cost $12.

That is a total of $134. WOW that's just for daily use, I think i will just keep this to myself and not tell my husband. ;) Now for a group shot.

Hope you guys enjoyed this as much as I did, now tell me how much does your face cost?

Ferrarucci Eyeshadow Palette #19- Part Three

Hey Girls, Hope your all doing fab! Well another week is coming to an end and I feel that time is just zooming by soo fast and I am still drowning in packing-but it is getting done! Today I am completing the Ferrarucci Series that is now Part Three, with palette #19.

With Flash

This palette is not obviously one that you would use on a daily basis, although it is a pretty one for special occasions and even just for fun! The packaging of these palettes are the same-four shades set onto a wooden base with a double ended sponge tip applicator.

Without Flash

The shades:
- Gold.
- Bronze.
- Purple with flecks of silver.
- Raspberry Pink with flecks of silver.

This is getting very repetitive but these Ferrarucci palettes are soo pigmented, the colours last, they do not fade or crease and i have no problems with fall out! You get 5g of each shade and they are all buttery smooth. Now you would have noticed by now that the shades are not at all matte and in all the range they do not have any matte eyeshadow palettes-so if you like your mattes then these are not for you!

Here are the swatches both WET & DRY:

Ferrarucci has done an amazing job with these palettes, I really love how pigmented and long lasting the shades of these palettes were. It is also a bonus when they are affordable and deliver!

Sorry for not having the greatest quality pictures to do these palettes justice but I am still looking for a good camera, any suggestions?

What do you think of these palettes? Which one would be your favourite?

Enjoy your day!

Ferrarucci Eyeshadow Palette #16-Part Two

Hey Girls! Hope your all doing great! So for us over in the UAE, its officially the start of the weekend and I couldn't be happier, gives me the time to complete the packing I still have soo much to do!
So anyway, this is a continuation of the Ferrarucci- Eyeshadow Series. in Part Two I introduce to you the Green collection (This is what I call it), as you noticed Ferrarucci hasn't got names for these palettes they are only numbered. I also forgot to mention in my last post that I have three of the palettes out of the Eight that were available from the little store that supplies Ferrarucci products.

Packaging of these palettes are all the same with the wooden base, four pans of eyeshadows and a double ended sponge applicator. I use the sponge tip applicator at times, although there are moments where I use my brushes or fingers depending on the look I am going for! Total Product Weight is 20g so 5g of each eyeshadow shade.

The shades include:

- A pearl white with Silver flecks
- An Emerald Green with silver flecks
- Lime Green with gold flecks
- Forrest Green with gold flecks.

Application of these eyeshadows are super soft, application is effortless and the pay off is amazing. You do not loose any of the shimmer, and they stay put. With these coloured shadows I found that removing them was even harder as they would leave a slight stain of colour on your lids with just normal make up wipes! (Thats how pigmented they are!).

Here are the swatches both WET & DRY:

All in all these palettes are great value for money as they work wonderfully and are amazing to work with!

From Part One I had a lot of questions about whether Ferrarucci was available outside of the UAE and where, so I emailed the company to get more information and once I get it, I will let you guys know!

Whats your favourite colour? Have you tried these?

Stay tuned for Part three of the Ferrarucci Eyeshadow Palette series!

Ferrarucci Eyeshadow Palette #05-Part One

Hey Girls! Hope your all having a great week so far! I am still busy packing and working, but in between making some time for blogging! :) So today I have part one from the Ferrarucci series which will be three parts. I first mentioned Ferrarucci in an earlier post here.
Ferrarucci is actually a German cosmetics brand and I am not sure if they are available across Europe as their website does not actually have any info, here in the UAE you can find them in most malls in cosmetic stalls.
With Flash

This is palette contains four eyeshadow shades set in a wooden palette, with a double ended sponge tip applicator. The total product weight is 20g, so each pan contains 5g of highly pigmented product! And the best part it the cost of one of these palettes is 45 AED.

Without Flash

This palette is one of my go to products when I am getting ready for an evening out. The shades are beautiful, the product itself is buttery soft, smooth application, no fall out, highly pigmented and long lasting and when I say long lasting-I mean that you will be using a lot of makeup wipes to get these things off! Best thing is in this hot and humid weather they stay put and I have had no problems with fading or creasing!

The four shades include:
- A pearl white with little silver flecks (I use this shade as a highlight on the brow bone and in the inner corner and it makes your eyes POP
- A Taupe Brown with slight silver flecks through it.
- A Brown/Bronze with slight Gold and Red flecks, ( My favourite shade its the perfect match to Jennifer Love Hewitts Ghost Whisperer Eye Make up look)
- A Dark Brown with gold flecks.

Following I have swatched the shades both Dry and Wet with flash and no flash. I feel that the camera has not done these shades justice! But you can still see just how pretty these shades really are!

No Flash

I can not convey how great this palette is. For the price the quantity and quality Ferrarucci has done an amazing job in bringing a product that delivers.

What do you girls think? Have you tried these out?

Oh and just a reminder my mini giveaway ends in a week, so if you haven't entered go ahead and do it here!

Enjoy your day!

Ferrarucci 40 Eyeshadow Palette Review

Hey Girls! Hope your all well. So I have a review on a brand which is quite popular here in the UAE, Ferrarucci. Ferrarucci is actually a German cosmetics brand and I am not sure if they are available across Europe as their website does not actually have any info, but if you can get your hands on this make up then get to it. They are amazing!! Super pigmented, long lasting, range of finishes and you get them all at an amazing price. I bought mine from a cosmetics store in a local mall, and for the 40 eyeshadows palette for 120 dirhams. Now as for the palette you get a great range of colours and they can be used dry and wet. The colour payoff is amazing on these beauties but they are more shimmery eyeshadows so if your looking for matte then these are not for you, but I love shimmer so these are just great for me! I wanted to swatch these for you but my camera was not doing them justice so once I get a better camera (hopefully soon) I will put them up. Till then enjoy these :)

I was soo impressed by this palette that I went out and got some more of their products which I will also be reviewing soon, so stay tuned :)
Have you guys got any brands of make up that aren't available internationally but are popular in your country?

Enjoy,

NYX: For Your Eyes Only- Brown Eyes Palette Review

Hey girls!! Hope your all doing great :) I am already looking forward to the weekend as here in the UAE we have Friday and Saturday as our weekend and its just around the corner!!! Well anyway I was looking through my make-up and I thought I would do a post/review on my go to make up palette for quick smokey eyes, natural looks or a quick dramatic. This is usually when my hubby decides on a whim to go out and it is all rush rush, getting my son ready, deciding what to wear and then how I can do my make up. I seem to find that on these occasions when I haven't had the time to think ahead what I'll be wearing I reach for my NYX palette! I just love it! Its compact- fits into any size hand bag or clutch and great for travelling. The colours are amazing, super pigmented and they have a variety of colours which is really good for on the go quick make up looks and here in the UAE where it can get very hot and humid these babies stay on really well!! I have taken the compact with me but honestly have never had to touch up my make up. Oh and it comes with a mirror which is great for checking everything is all in place-no food stuck in the teeth :P

The palette has a dark brown with gold flecks in it, a taupey brown, gold/coral, champagne, lilac with silver flecks, a deep purple, a green, a darker coral, a matte brown and matte light gold. I love the range of colours and finishes this palette has, my only small complaint is the fall out but its not tragic!
NYX has a range of the palettes for brown eyes, blue eyes, hazel eyes and many more in the collection. The best thing is they are CHEAP!!

So if your looking for your go to palette I suggest you take a look at these at your local NYX stockier. Here in the UAE Lifestyle store have them and at the moment they are having 25% off so you can get them for 54 dirhams!

Have you tried these out? What do you think of them? Which one is your favourite?

Rimmel Glam Eyes HD Review

Hey everyone, so I am trying to get through a number of products to review for you guys and so I decided I would bring you my thoughts on the relativley new Rimmel Glam Eyes HD Eyeshadow palettes. Now I really love some of Rimmels products and I find that for the price they are quite smooth in application and texture but also they have a great colour pay off-especially their eye kohl pencils. So once I tried the tester for these babies in store, I was hooked I wanted every single palette but I held back and decided on two of the five that were there and I'm glad I didn't get them all. WHY?? Well as great as the colours and consistency of the eyeshadows the packaging is in my opinion horrendous!!!

So I picked up 005 English Rose and 006 Purple Reign. English Rose has a pinky-gold shade along with a brown and taupey shades and Purple Reign is just that a range of purples. The colours are absolutley gorgeous they are amazing on but getting to the little triangles with your brush doesn't help unless you use the sponge applicator tip to get in there but you still manage to get into the other color.
The Rimmels emblem of the union jack didn't work well as the colours are really to get to- except for the color in the middle which is in my opinion very annoying. But for the eyeshadows alone they are amazingly smooth and soft, hardly any fall out and they last a long time, (I have only worn these over my NYX eyeshadow base). In the whole range I find the colours are amazing and some of them actually remind of a few colours in the Urban Decay Naked palette. I would only recommend these to you who don't mind the challenge of getting to the colours in the smaller triangles but I really wish Rimmel had these palettes differently even the old style square quad would have been forgivable for such great eyeshadow quality.

What do you guys think? Have you tried these? Whats your favourite Rimmel product?

Its CLINIQUE gift time :)

Helloo girls! I have promised for a while now many reviews and unfortunately I ended up getting sick which set me back for a whole month but thankfully I am getting back on track and I am feeling much better, so that's when I got to starting on these reviews. So a month ago, Clinique at my local AREEJ store was having a gift with purchase and so I thought I might as well stock up on my FAV primer from Clinique. My complexion is quite fair but I am very sensitive and get red faced very quickly especially if its hot and in the climate here in Dubai, Cliniques Redness Solutions daily protective base with SPF 15 is God send. It applies smoothly, blends beautifully and absorbs into the skin without having yourself looking like a green Grinch. As its a primer it works great under your favourite foundation but this beauty works great even when applied over moisturiser, I have a lot of people compliment my skin. So anyway as they were having a gift with purchase I picked one tube up along with the Lip Chubby Stick in Whopin' Watermelon. I first seen this in Pixiwoo tutorial and I had to have it- natural everyday light lip gloss- so this was a great deal. So for these two items I got the Gift Pack.

Included in the Gift Pack:
- Clinique Cosmetic Bag (which I personally find super cute).
- Colour surge quad Eyeshadow palette (It has a single shade from strawberry fudge duo, single shade from pink chocolate quad, chocolate chip ans stone violet they are nicely pigmented but stone violet feels a tad chalky).
- Clinique High Impact in 01 Black Mascara Sample size (This is a great mascara, the brush is great formula fantastic leaving you with natural feeling lashes just more dramatic and I love it).
- Clinique All About Eyes cream (this is a super cool light weight cream for under eyes but i don't know if i see any improvements but it does have a nice feel).
-Clinique Rinse off Foam Cleanser Sample size (Generous size and great cleanser I have used it to remove my make up also and I feel my face feels clean without feeling tight).
- Clinique Vitamin C Lip Smoothie in Strawberry bliss (I love love LOVEEEEE this its great nice tint of colour, not sticky and my lips feel super moisturised with the tiniest amount).

All in all, I love Clinique products I feel they are great quality and not that expensive and when they have these gift with purchase they really have a good range of products and they are not tiny samples.

Hope you enjoyed this, how do you guys feel about Clinique products? What is your favourite product?

Loreal: Infallible Eyeshadow

Selam and Hello ladies!

So the weekend has finally arrived after a long busy week! As usual I had some shopping to do and at the mall near me I stepped into Lifestyle store which is currently having a 25% discount on cosmetics and so I thought I'd go in and check it out. Now I have been reading and watching a lot of product reviews on Loreals Infallible eyeshadows and I really couldnt wait for them to debut here in Dubai and to my surprise I spotted the loreal infallible eyeshadows and I was excited-for a split second!! Because after reaching the stand I realized they had brought in only three colors!!! THREE like seriously there has been a lot of hype in the U.S about the colors and I already had in mind the colors I wanted but all we got here was the Eternal Black, Forever Pink and All night Blue and with the promotion they were now 68 dirhams I wasnt impressed at all, I was waiting for Purple Obsession, Hourglass Beige, Permanent Khaki and Endless Chocolate. Oh well thats how it is sometimes, but I did pick up a few other things that I will be sharing with you guys in my next post.

So what do you think about these infallible eyeshadows? People in the UAE are you also unimpressed?
